The 2012 Capital One Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Kansas Wesleyan's Chelsea Carvalho was named as a First Team Academic All-District selection in the College Division of District 6.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – It wasn't the way that the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes wanted to end their 2012 baseball season, but the Coyotes didn't go down without a fight. The Coyotes rallied from a 6-run deficit in the first inning to take the lead in the seventh, but couldn't hold on as Tabor College rallied to get a 19-14 win over the Coyotes in a marathon 4-hour game on Thursday night at Hobart-Detter Field in Hutchinson.

HUTCHINSON, Kan. – Meeting for the fourth time in less than a week, the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes and Southwestern Moundbuilders faced each other in the loser's bracket semifinals on Thursday afternoon at Fun Valley Sports Complex. The Moundbuilders erased a 2-1 Wesleyan lead, scoring a combined five runs in the fifth and sixth innings to pull away for a 6-2 win over the Coyotes.
