Kansas Wesleyan University will induct five individuals and four consecutive KCAC Championship winning softball teams into the Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Athletic Hall of Fame as part of Homecoming 2015 activities on October 3 on the KWU Campus.

 

The 1995-1998 Softball teams will be inducted along with Baseball star Rich Troiano, Football standouts Denis Adams, Jeff Kumpula and Darin Boyer, and women's athletics star Jessi (Burnham) Stang.

Kansas Wesleyan senior men's tennis student-athlete Leonardo Mendez (SR/Bogota, Colombia) has been named as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete for the 2015 season. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 111 men's tennis student-athletes have been named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Mobile (Ala.) and Pikeville (Ky.) led all institutions with six individuals on the list.

Kansas Wesleyan senior men's tennis student-athlete Leonardo Mendez (SR/Bogota, Colombia) has been selected as a Capital One Academic All-District ® as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), as CoSIDA released the At-Large Academic All-District selections on Thursday.

Several Kansas Wesleyan student-athletes were honored during Graduation Weekend activities on Friday and Saturday on the KWU Campus. Student-athletes were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments at Friday night's Honors Convocation and were also honored during Saturday's Commencement exercises.
