The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 1,502 teams have been given the distinction of Scholar-Teams for the 2014-15 academic year. Missouri Baptist's women's tennis team, who finished the term with a NAIA-best combined 3.94 grade point average, was selected as the Scholar-Team of the Year.

Kansas Wesleyan University will induct five individuals and four consecutive KCAC Championship winning softball teams into the Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Athletic Hall of Fame as part of Homecoming 2015 activities on October 3 on the KWU Campus.

 

The 1995-1998 Softball teams will be inducted along with Baseball star Rich Troiano, Football standouts Denis Adams, Jeff Kumpula and Darin Boyer, and women's athletics star Jessi (Burnham) Stang.

Kansas Wesleyan senior men's tennis student-athlete Leonardo Mendez (SR/Bogota, Colombia) has been named as a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete for the 2015 season. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 111 men's tennis student-athletes have been named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Mobile (Ala.) and Pikeville (Ky.) led all institutions with six individuals on the list.
