


The end of Saturday afternoon's NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round match between Kansas Wesleyan and Huston-Tillotson University was almost an exact replay of the end of Wesleyan's 2010 Opening Round match. In overtime, a player from the opposing team shoots, the Coyote keeper saves the shot, ball rebounds to another player who shoots and scores just inside the left post at the north end of the pitch. This year it was different participants, but same result as Huston-Tillotson stunned the Coyotes 4-3 in overtime to advance to the NAIA National Championship Final Site.
Officials from Kansas Wesleyan, Oklahoma Baptist and Huston-Tillotson have met and start times have been set for the two NAIA National Championship Opening Round contests in Salina on Saturday.

LINDSBORG – The No. 12 ranked Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes faced the Friends Falcons for a second straight season in the KCAC PostSeason Tournament match and for the second straight year came away with a win. The Coyotes blanked the Falcons 2-0 to win their second consecutive KCAC PostSeason Tournament Title on Saturday at Anderson Field in Lindsborg.
The Kansas Wesleyan Men's Soccer team is back in a familiar place – the KCAC Tournament Championship match. The Coyotes got a late first half penalty kick by Alex Chavez and two second half goals to cruise by McPherson College 3-0 in the KCAC Tournament Semifinals on Wednesday evening at Salina Stadium and advance to Saturday's KCAC Tournament Championship match at 1 p.m., in Lindsborg.
Kansas Wesleyan placed 8 individuals on the 2011 All-KCAC Men's Soccer teams as released by the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference. Five individuals were named First Team All-KCAC and three were named Second Team All-KCAC. Wesleyan also earned three individual awards from the KCAC.
