The Kansas Wesleyan Volleyball team overcame a slow start to defeat the fourth-seeded Sterling Warriors in the semifinals of the KCAC Volleyball Tournament on Friday night at Mabee Arena. Wesleyan would win in four sets 24-26, 25-23, 25-28, 25-13 to reach its fourth straight tournament championship and will meet Ottawa in the finals for the third consecutive time.

Two good things came out of Kansas Wesleyan's win over McPherson College on Tuesday night. First, the Coyotes' volleyball season keeps rolling. Second, KWU will host the KCAC Tournament Semifinals on Friday and the Championship match on Saturday thanks to a 16-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-16 win over the Bulldogs at Mabee Arena.

Kansas Wesleyan's Jori Mote (JR/Weskan, Kan.) received a pair of weekly volleyball honors from the KCAC for her efforts in helping the Coyotes post a 3-0 record last week and secure the 2014 KCAC Volleyball Regular Season Championship. Mote was selected as the KCAC Hitter of the Week and represented the conference at the national level for National Player of the Week out of a pool of candidates nominated and voted on by the conference sports information directors.

(LIVE VIDEO | LIVE STATS | TOURNAMENT STATS) The KCAC Conference Champion Kansas Wesleyan Volleyball team is the top seed in the KCAC Volleyball Tournament and hosts eighth seeded McPherson College at 7:00 on Tuesday evening in the tournament quarterfinals at Mabee Arena.

The Kansas Wesleyan Volleyball team won its third KCAC Championship in the last four seasons as the Coyotes swept the Ottawa Braves on Saturday night at Mabee Arena 25-22, 25-16, 25-21 in the regular season finale for both teams.
