McPHERSON – Kansas Wesleyan tallied 40-plus kills for the second straight match and for the ninth time this season as the Coyotes knocked off the Central Christian College Tigers in straight sets – 25-10, 25-7, 25-13 – on Thursday night at the Ed Pyle Sports Complex.

To say that Melissa Blair (SR/Phillipsburg, Kan.)'s play on Wednesday night against the Saint Mary Spires was key in the Coyotes' win would be an understatement. The senior drove home 15 kills while hitting .571 and recorded six blocks as the Coyotes topped the Spires in four sets (18-25, 25-11, 25-17, 25-10) on Wednesday night at Mabee Arena in the KCAC conference opener for both teams.

Kansas Wesleyan split its two matches on Sunday in the LaQuinta-KWU Invitational at Mabee Arena. The Coyotes lost in straight sets to Briar Cliff (Iowa), but closed the event with a three-set sweep of Southwestern Christian (Okla.). Wesleyan would go 3-1 on the weekend after sweeping Saturday's matches.
