The post-season awards keep rolling in for the Kansas Wesleyan Volleyball team. The Coyotes placed two players on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) AVCA West Central All-Region Team and Head Coach Fred Aubuchon was named Regional Coach of the Year for the 2011 season.

 

Leah Keller was named First Team All-West Central Region, while Kelsey Boyles earned Honorable Mention All-Region honors.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Kansas Wesleyan University finished pool play in the 2011 NAIA Volleyball National Championships presented by CNOS Foundation with a four set loss to Indiana Wesleyan – 12-25, 24-26, 25-23, 14-25 – on Thursday afternoon at the Tyson Events Center / Gateway Arena in Sioux City.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – At the end of the match on day 2 of pool play at the 2011 NAIA Volleyball National Championships presented by CNOS Foundation between Kansas Wesleyan and No. 12 ranked College of Idaho, there was a 100 percent chance the Coyotes would win. The College of Idaho was the victorious pack of Coyotes in a four set match over Kansas Wesleyan – 25-23, 18-25, 25-18, 25-19 – on Wednesday afternoon at the Tyson Events Center / Gateway Arena in Sioux City.

 

Wesleyan and College of Idaho shared several similarities in the match as both teams share the nickname Coyotes, have purple and gold as their team colors and have a player with the last name Myers wearing No. 6.

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Kansas Wesleyan begins pool play today in the 2011 NAIA Volleyball National Championships presented by CNOS Foundation at the Tyson Events Center / Gateway Arena in Sioux City. The Coyotes will face top ranked Concordia University (Calif.) at 1 p.m., today in their first match.
