Kansas Wesleyan had four Softball student-athletes named as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Wednesday that 402 softball student-athletes have been named 2015 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes. William Carey (Miss.) landed the most individuals on the list with 10 total.

Kansas Wesleyan University will induct five individuals and four consecutive KCAC Championship winning softball teams into the Kansas Wesleyan Coyote Athletic Hall of Fame as part of Homecoming 2015 activities on October 3 on the KWU Campus.

 

The 1995-1998 Softball teams will be inducted along with Baseball star Rich Troiano, Football standouts Denis Adams, Jeff Kumpula and Darin Boyer, and women's athletics star Jessi (Burnham) Stang.

ALEXANDRIA, La. – Kansas Wesleyan used a first-inning homer by Kimberly Patterson (JR/Hutchinson, Kan.) to take a 1-0 lead that held through three innings, but Belhaven scored four times in the fourth and added an insurance run in the seventh to defeat the Coyotes 5-2 in the NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round at Generals Field.
