Fred Aubuchon has been the Head Coach of Kansas Wesleyan Volleyball since 2009.
 
Aubuchon took over the Coyote Volleyball program after spending five-plus seasons at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. While at Hastings, Aubuchon amassed an impressive 173-46 record (.789 win pct.). Under his direction, Hastings never finished worse than sixth in the Great Plains Athletic Conference standings. In 2003, Aubuchon's first season, the Broncos were the No.6 seed. In 2006, Aubuchon's Hastings squad won the GPAC Regular Season Championship, and advanced to the NAIA National Championships, advancing past Pool Play into the National Championship First Round.
 
Before Hastings, Aubuchon spent two years at Peru State College (Neb.), where he amassed a 43-26 record. While at Peru State, he began the Bobcats Men's Volleyball Program.
 
In eight-plus seasons at the NAIA level , Aubuchon has a 217-104 overall record (.676 win pct.); however, more important than wins, his teams also excelled in the classroom. Aubuchon's teams have achieved unprecedented academic success by leading the NAIA in four out of seven years with having the highest GPA in the nation, including two years when teams led all levels of NCAA Women's Volleyball as well.He has had an astonishing 40 NAIA Scholar-Athletes in just seven years. His 2009 KWU team was named as a NAIA Scholar-Team and received the Team Academic Award from the American Volleyball Coaches' Association; one of only 34 teams in the NAIA to receive the award.
 
Before Peru State, Aubuchon spent five years at Owens Community College (Ohio), where he compiled a 152-76 record. He twice won the OCCAC (Ohio Community College Athletic Conference) Championship, and made five straight appearances in the NJCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championships. He set a school record of 46 wins in 2000.
 
Aubuchon received a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Community Recreation from Central Michigan University in 1994, and a Master of Education degree from the University of Toledo in 1996.
 
Aubuchon is a native of Kalamazoo, Mich., and is married to Sabrina Aubuchon and has one daughter, Emmaly.

Jess Lovejoy comes to KWU as a recent graduate of Hastings College with a BA in K-12 Physical Education and a Coaching Endorsement. Jess spent the last year as Giltner High School’s Head Volleyball Coach in Giltner, Nebraska. She had the opportunity to travel throughout the United States to tournaments, including five Junior Olympic appearances and one USAV appearance. Jess also coached club volleyball for over six years throughout Nebraska. Jess played collegiate volleyball for Hastings College and was also a student coach along with assisting with summer camps during her career at Hastings. Jess is a native of Bladen, Neb. and a graduate of Blue Hill High School. Jess is not only excited to become the Assistant Coach at Kansas Wesleyan University, but also to reunite with Coach Aubuchon.

Katie Novack has been an assistant coach for the KWU Volleyball team since the summer of 2011.

Novack joins the coaching staff after playing basketball for the Coyotes in 2010-11, where she earned Honorable Mention All-KCAC honors averaging 10.8 points per game and shooting over 37 percent from 3-point range.

Before KWU, Novack played one year at Southern Nazarene (Okla.) after playing two years at Garden City CC. The Holcomb, Kan., native graduated from Holcomb HS in 2007 where she was a multi-sport student-athlete and also excelled in the classroom being named as a Kansas Regents Scholar.
