Kansas Wesleyan had a strong showing in the KCAC Track and Field Championships held at Ottawa University on Friday and Saturday, headlined by Nathan Mesta's win in the 1500m.

On the men's side, Nate Mesta finished second in the 800m with a 1:55.51, just edged out by Southwestern's Chris Copeland for first place. Copeland won the event with a 1:54.29. Mesta easily ran away with the 1500m title, winning the event by four and a half seconds over Southwestern's Conner Drendel, finishing with a 3:53.10.

Joel Wallace finished 14th in the 1500 with a 4:39.71. Mike Rascon led a trio of KWU finishers in the 10000m run. Rascon finished fourth with a 33:42, while teammate Peter Madrigal was fifth with a 33:50.70 and Kyle Sieve finished eighth with a 34:22.50.

Wallace also finished eighth in the steeplechase with a 12:09.79.
