The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its first Campbell/ITA NAIA Women's Rankings on November 23 and Kansas Wesleyan junior Rachael Renneisen was ranked No. 11 in the NAIA Central Region.
Renneisen, who hails from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., reached the ranking after reaching the semifinals of the 2011 USTA/ITA Regional Championship in September at Bethel College.
Renneisen is one of two non-international players ranked in the top 12 of the region and the No. 11 ranking is one of the highest ever for a women's player from the KCAC.
The USTA/ITA regional championship was the only event of the fall for the Coyote tennis teams. The Coyotes will begin their spring schedule on March 9 at the Bethel College Tournament in North Newton.
