OKLAHOMA CITY – The Kansas Wesleyan Women's Golf team played to a fifth place finish in its season opening tournament on Tuesday and Wednesday at Lake Hefner Golf Course in Oklahoma City. 

The Coyotes shot a combined team score of 769 and were paced by senior Kamie Rash who finished in sixth place with a 152. Freshman Kelcey Edwards was 30th with a 188, Erin Monaghan was 35th with a 208 and Monika Grant was 36th with a 221.


Redlands CC (Okla.) was the team champion, with a team score of 588, and Redlands' Lina Aguillon shot a 6-under 139 to win the individual title.


Wesleyan is back in action on Monday and Tuesday when the Coyotes head to McPherson to play in the Central Christian College Tournament at Turkey Creek.
