BALDWIN CITY – The Kansas Wesleyan Track team competed in its final meet before the KCAC Championships at the Baker Wildcat Relays at Liston Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

With a small crew the true highlight of the day was Sabrina Hayes making her steeplechase debut with at 13:52.25, and Hillary Callaway continuing her dominance in the race with an 11:50.66. This was another easy win for Callaway who leads the conference by 30 seconds and looks to bring home her first conference title next Thursday.


Makenzy Tolbert improved her best throw of the season to 30.00m in the discus.


On the men's side Keith Naranjo ran the 800m in 2:12.14, Jason Berry ran the 1500m in 4:25.21, and Bryan Manley ran the open 3000m with a time of 9:50.36, all of whom were doing prep races for this coming week's conference championship.


Up next for the Coyotes is the KCAC Championships hosted by Tabor College on Thursday and Friday at Joel Wiens Stadium in Hillsboro.
