(LIVE VIDEO | LIVE STATS | LIVE AUDIO) The Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes complete the 2012-13 regular season on Saturday as they host the Tabor Bluejays in a 5 p.m., tip from Mabee Arena. The Coyotes are looking to extend their two-game winning streak and avenge an earlier loss to the Bluejays.

THE LAST MEETING AND RECENT HISTORY
The teams last met on January 16 with Tabor picking up a 72-67 win over the Coyotes. Alecia Smith had 20 points and 12 rebounds and Stephanie Frost had 15 points and nine rebounds in the loss. Wesleyan led 35-30 at the half, but Tabor rallied in the second half led by Hannah Paust with 15 points, while Janelle Rust had nine points and 12 rebounds.

 

Since 1999-2000, Tabor holds a 17-13 lead in the all-time series. The Coyotes had won 10 in a row over the Bluejays before the earlier game this season.

 

SCOUTING THE COYOTES
Wesleyan is 16-11 overall and 11-6 in the KCAC following Thursday's 46-42 win over Bethany. The win secured the No. 4 seed and a home game in the KCAC Tournament which begins on Thursday. Stephanie Frost led the Coyotes with 17 points and seven rebounds as Wesleyan rallied from a 25-22 deficit at the half. The Coyotes shot just 17.2 percent in the first half as they fell behind early and had to rally. Tanya Garner led Bethany with 16 points and 13 rebounds. The Coyotes took the lead at the 17:14 point in the second half, and never relinquished the lead the rest of the night.

 

Junior Alecia Smith leads the Coyotes, averaging 13.7 points and 8.2 rebounds this season. Frost's 26 points at Saint Mary on December 6 was a team season best and her 16 rebounds against McPherson on January 10 is a team season best. Smith leads the KCAC in rebounding, while Vanessa Kresin leads the league in steals, averaging 3.1 per game.

 

Wesleyan shoots 36.6 percent from the field as a team, and 26.9 percent from 3-point range. The Coyotes score 65.2 points per game, and allow 63.9 per contest. The Coyotes average 41.3 rebounds per game, just ahead of the 41 allowed to their opponents. Wesleyan's opponents are shooting 38.2 percent from the field and 30.6 percent from 3-point range this season.

 

Wesleyan ranks No. 5 in NAIA Division II in total blocks (131) and No. 6 in blocks per game (4.852). The Coyotes also rank No. 33 in rebounding average (41.296), No. 36 in defensive rebounds per game (27.630), No. 38 in offensive rebounds per game (13.667) and total steals (282), No. 39 in steals per game (10.444), No. 43 in total rebounds (1115), No. 44 in 3-pointers made per game (5.519) and No. 45 in total 3-pointers made.

 

Vanessa Kresin ranks No. 13 in total steals (83), No. 16 in steals per game (3.074). Stephanie Frost ranks No. 14 in blocks per game (1.920) and No. 16 in total blocks (48). Alecia Smith ranks no. 35 in defensive rebounds per game (5.741), No. 37 in total rebounds (220) and No. 42 in rebounding average (8.148). Christian Cassity ranks No. 39 in total blocks (32) and No. 46 in blocks per game (1.185).

 

SCOUTING THE TABOR BLUEJAYS
Tabor has completely turned its team around from last season, sitting in second place in the KCAC with an 18-9 overall record and 14-3 in the KCAC. The Bluejays have been without leading scorer and rebounder Janelle Rust who suffered a knee injury against Ottawa and lost 42-34 to Friends on Thursday in Hillsboro. Katlyn Mary led the Bluejays with 16 points, while Hannah Paust had six points, 10 rebounds, but had seven turnovers in the loss. Tabor shot just 24.5 percent from the field and was 2-of-24 from 3-point range. Friends led 18-14 at the half and were led by Inekka Stevenson with 13 points.

 

Janelle Rust leads not only Tabor, but the KCAC in scoring at 15.4 points per game. She also leads the Bluejays in rebounding at 7.6 per contest. Tabor is averaging 65.5 points per game and holding opponents to 59.1 points per game. Tabor's opponents are outrebounding the Bluejays 38.4 to 33.7. Tabor shoots 40.4 percent from the field as a team and 30.8 percent from 3-point range, while their opponents shoot 38.4 percent from the field and 29.1 percent from distance. Rust has the Tabor team season highs in both points and rebounds this season, scoring 25 on January 5 against Southwestern and pulling down 18 rebounds against McPherson on January 24.

 

Tabor ranks No. 25 nationally in scoring defense (59.074), No. 36 in 3-pointers made per game (5.815) and free throw percentage (.705), No. 37 in turnover margin (2.296), No. 39 in total 3-pointers made (157), No. 41 in scoring margin (6.407), No. 44 in 3-point percentage (.308) and No. 45 in field goal percentage (.404).

 

Nikki Lewis ranks No. 5 in total assists (157) and assist average (5.815), No. 17 in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.039), No. 29 in total steals (65) and No. 40 in steals per game (2.407). Rust ranks No. 5 in 3-point percentage (.429), No. 28 in defensive rebounds per game (6.0) and No. 39 in field goal percentage (.462).
